Baldur’s Gate 2 is my favorite game, so you can imagine my excitement when it was announced that it was being remastered along with it’s predecessor and respective expansion packs. Not much more info than that yet, but this launch holds so much potential and so many great memories for me that I’m already quite excited. With this and Wasteland 2 getting funded it’s a great day to be a classic CRPG player.
So we’ve lost Matt Damon and Paul Greengrass but picked up greats like Jeremy Renner (finally getting another lead role), Rachel Weisz, and Edward Norton. Plus we’ve got great characters returning in the bodies of Joan Allen, Albert Finney, and David Strathairn. The only big question is if Tony Gilroy is up to the task of directing a Bourne movie after writing the previous three (as well as this one).
Here’s the first trailer, which, honestly, is more of a tease, but a good one. They certainly have the right idea with the tagline though, “There was never just one.” says everything you need to sell me on a new Bourne movie without Jason.
It’s hard not to be excited about 2012′s slate of films when you read Metacritic’s top pics for the new year. The list is full of exciting pics across the spectrum of styles and there’s only one or two movies that don’t sound too interesting.
Louis CK produced his own comedy special and put it up for sale on his website, DRM-free, for just $5.
Twelve days later he’s made over a million dollars and he’s giving a quarter of that to charities and another quarter to his employees as a bonus. Amazing.
I bought a copy for $5 and, after watching it, I can say it’s excellent and worth much more than that.
