Avatar is the most immersive moviegoing experience I’ve ever experienced. It simply must be seen in 3D to witness it as imagined by Cameron and his team. You may have heard the story before but you’ve never seen it like this.
BTW, Giovanni Ribisi is such a douche in this film that I can’t help loving him.
Verdict: 4.5 out of 5.0

‘World’s Greatest Dad‘ is not a movie you should actually see with your dad, however it is a great black comedy. Writer/director Bobcat Goldthwait layers great mix of uncomfortable and awkward situations where you can’t help but laugh, while Robin Williams gives nuanced and more reserved performance than his usual comedy roles.
If you’re a fan of painful comedy, like ‘Curb Your Enthusiasm‘ or the British ‘Office‘ you’ll appreciate this film, which slipped under under the radar in its theatrical release.

Catan is my favorite board game, the iPhone is my favorite… thing I carry around. Put them together and you’ve got some dangerously awesome potential. I can’t wait!

The Brothers Bloom is a new flick from Rian Johnson who previously kicked ass with Brick. ‘Bloom’ features a great cast including Rachel Weisz, Adrien Brody, and Mark Ruffalo. The movie re-spins the con flick into a character driven romance and comedy.
If you want to see innovative, smart, and engaging filmmaking, be sure to check out this movie. It has the potential to get buried by the other big summer releases, but it really deserves to be seen by a wide audience.

Loads of good stuff announced today for the iPhone OS 3.0. Engadget has the details.
Apple is, unsurprisingly, not going to stand still and let Google Android and Palm WebOS get the upper hand on features. They pretty much went down the wish list of features for the update and checked of every one of them: copy/paste, push notifications, better Bluetooth support, and so on. Pretty much the only feature left out is background apps which Apple again dissed as a large source of battery drain.
Flash is also still a no-show, but that’s not a surprise, nor something I think Apple plans on addressing anytime soon. In any case, I still don’t think Flash would be any good on any phone device at this time.
Consumers get it this summer… I can’t wait.
