‘The Hurt Locker’ Review
I saw ‘The Hurt Locker‘ several weeks ago when it first opened and was blown away. This is a movie that defines ‘edge of your seat’ but also features some wonderful performances and cinematography. I actually can’t stop thinking about it and it’s certainly the best movie I’ve seen this year, if not longer.
‘The Hurt Locker’ has been slowly expanding to more cities the past few weeks but it officially opens nationwide this Friday, July 24th. Please; do yourself a favor and go see this movie, then tell your friends about it and make them go. There’s no way a little film like this can hope to reach as many people as the marketing onslaught of tent poles like Transformers and Harry Potter, but it’s a movie that everyone should experience.
Verdict: 5 out of 5 Stars

I’ve only heard great things about this movie. Wasn’t it originally released in 2008?

I think it played at festivals and in Europe in 2008 but was delayed until 2009 for a US release. See this IMDb release date listing.

Saw it based on your post. It was even more interesting given that I have been working at DoD this summer … it triggered a conversation with one of my colleagues about his experiences with roadside bombs in Iraq. Thanks for the rec!
