This news leaked a while ago, but it’s been confirmed that Aaron Eckhart will play Harvey Dent (who eventually becomes Two-Face) in The Dark Knight. This fucking fantastic casting (I have a lot of faith in Eckhart after his great work in Thank You for Smoking).

In other good news Rachel Dawes part, previously held by Katie Holmes (who is now out of the picture, thankfully) has been rumored to be going to the always charming Maggie Gyllenhaal. I think it might be better to write a new romance thread rather than change actors for the same role but for a secondary character I guess it’s not such a big deal (I have faith).

In any case, the movie is at the top of my Must See in 2008 list (if such a thing is possible at this stage).
